Video & Motion — Case Study
HUEL DAILY GREENS
The launch film for Huel Daily Greens — a 3D motion piece in which green bubbles do all the talking.
GREENS. IN EVERY BUBBLE.
Huel Daily Greens packs 42 vitamins, minerals and superfoods into a single can — apple, cucumber and mint. For the launch, the drink needed a film that felt the way it tastes: light, fresh and quietly energetic, without a lecture about any of it.
The answer was bubbles. Custom green bubble simulations — built across After Effects, Cinema 4D and Houdini — drift, cluster and pour around the can, turning the product’s qualities into a visual language. The gallery opens with the hero frame and title card, then the film itself, followed by loops, stills and the R&D frames that show how the bubbles were made.

Hero Frame
Bubbles Around the Can
The hero frame: green bubbles drift across the Daily Greens can — the image that sets the film’s whole visual language.

Title Card
Daily Greens — The Brief in a Line
Client: Huel. Project: Daily Greens. A 3D design and animation piece built around one product and a great many bubbles.
Film
The Launch Film
The finished launch film for Huel Daily Greens — the can, the bubbles, and nothing it doesn’t need.

The Idea
Qualities into a Visual Language
The thinking, in the project’s own words: turn the qualities of the product into a visual language.
Animation
The Can in the Leaves
A portrait loop: the can resting in deep green leaves — the product in its natural state.

Film Still
Daily Greens, Up Close
Apple, cucumber and mint; 42 vitamins, minerals and superfoods — the label as landscape.

Film Still
Bubbles on the Label
The bubble cluster meets the can — the moment the visual language touches the product.

The Idea
Connected to Nature
Fresh, modern and playful, and rooted in nature — the second note from the project’s own boards.

Film Still
The Label, in Macro
A macro pass over the label: flavour, function and the promise of super greens.
Animation
The Wordmark Loop
A portrait loop across the Huel wordmark, beaded with condensation.
Animation
The Pour
A dark, liquid pour — the drink itself, abstracted into a single moving shape.

The Idea
Lightness, Freshness, Energy
Why bubbles? Because they carry lightness, freshness and energy without spelling out a single benefit.

Film Still
The Can, Wrapped in Bubbles
Mid-flight: the can tumbles inside its own bubble cluster, droplets trailing behind it.

Film Still
Huel, on the Diagonal
The can on the diagonal — wordmark large, fine print and all.
Animation
The Fizz
The can top, opening into fizz — a landscape loop of pure carbonation.
Animation
The Cluster
The bubble cluster, bouncing and settling as one soft body.

Breakdown
R&D
The research and development section — where the bubble simulations were worked out.

Breakdown
Custom Bubble Simulations
Custom simulations shaped everything: how the bubbles meet each other, move around the product and fill its shape.

Film Still
The Membrane
A pale macro of the bubble membrane — the simulation at its most abstract.
Animation
Floating
A portrait loop: the can floating among droplets, weightless.
Breakdown
The Clay Pass
The can in clay — the grey-shaded pass behind the final render, straight from the R&D work.

Film Still
Condensation
Beaded with condensation: the can, cold and fresh from the fridge.

Film Still
The Ring Pull, in Mono
A monochrome macro of the ring pull — texture, tension and a hundred tiny bubbles.
Breakdown
Simulation Test
An early simulation test in grey shade — forms pushed around before the green goes on.

The Idea
A Recurring Motif
Bubbles and product, product and bubbles — the relationship the whole film plays with.

Film Still
The Range
Three cans, three flavours — the closing line-up, droplets still falling.
